Veteran comedian Brahmanandam has lost his prominence in Telugu cinema today. He is out of form and the makers have started roping in likes of Vennela Kishore for the main comedy roles. Brahmi who ruled the industry for more than three decades and has acted over 1000 movies in Telugu and Tamil languages is now returning to small screen.

Couple of years ago, he tested his luck as TV host but failed miserably. This time he is hosting a bigger show. He will be hosting Great Telugu Laughter Challenge, Telugu version of ' The Great Indian Laughter Challenge'. The show will be aired on Star Maa TV. A promo was unveiled.

Brahmi will be judging the contestants. The show is based on a format where stand-up comedians perform. In Telugu, the culture of stand-up comedian didn't work so far. But Brahmi is planning to reverse this trend.
