Ugly Trend: Fans indulge in a war of words on social media

Fan wars are quite common in Tollywood. Even though stars spend some good times together off camera, their silly fans keep fighting in one way or the other.

These fan wars have been on for quite a number of years now and of late the density of fights have decreased but have transformed into verbal fights on social media. Fans of superstars keep targeting each other for some reason or the other. The latest one which happened was between fans of NTR and Mahesh Babu.

If you go back in time, we all very well know how Mahesh and NTR are spending time together these days along with another star Ram Charan. So keeping the bond in mind NTR wished Mahesh on his birthday but Mahesh did not reply to it on Twitter (he might have thanked over the phone, we don’t know).

Things were fine and no one bothered about it until yesterday night when Mahesh replied to a tweet made by Vijay Deverakonda after meeting the star. This did not go well with the fans of NTR who started abusing Mahesh in a harsh manner with all kinds of filthy hashtags on Twitter.

Things became ugly when fans of Mahesh did not hold back and started giving it back to NTR fans and within no time an ugly war started with different hashtags which were even trending on social media.

At a time when heroes are shedding their star status and are doing different roles and spending time with each other, there are some fans who have not learned a lesson and are fighting it out in a silly manner which they do not know will not affect their star heroes even an inch.
