October 2018 Box-office: Mixed results

The month of October saw the release of biggie NTR and Trivikram’s 'Aravindha Sametha'. During the Dasara holidays, the film had a good run and became NTR's highest grosser ever. Haarika & Hassine Creations laughed its way to the bank but distributors in couple of areas are going to lose in Andhra. In the US, where it had to get USD 2.5 million to reach break-even stage but didn't, it is settled with $2.17 million. The film is a flop in USA. Overall, it's just a moderate hit in the domestic market. The film was sold at high prices, that was the reason. However, it remains highest grosser in NTR's career.
The month’s first release was Vijay Deverakonda's 'NOTA'. It released amidst high expectations as his previous film ‘Geetha Govindam’ was a blockbuster. But this film turned out to be a flop, with its share pegged at Rs. 10 Cr or so.
Before the release of 'Hello Guru Prema Kosame', Ram stated that his career is heading with mixed results. This film too brought him mixed response. Trinadha Rao Nakkina's boring formula didn't tick this time. Finally, it may get near break-even status in the domestic market, the film is a dud in overseas. The director’s previous two movies were huge hits but this film is barely touching the break-even stage.
'Pandem Kodi 2', starring Vishal, did just okay business. The sequel, directed by N Lingusamy, was released on Dasara festival.
'Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayalu', 'Bhale Manchi Chowka Beram', 'Bangari Balaraju' and 'Ratham' sank without a trace.
