Last weekend, four films hit the screens. Among them, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and Kajal starrer ‘Kavacham’ was the major film and it had potential to perform on strong manner given its mass appealing content. But the film suffered its openings as it was released on Telangana election day and in Andhra, the film got late release due to financial issues. And the initial talk was not at all encouraging. So, by end of the first weekend, it did post ordinary numbers.

Although Bellamkonda’s previous movie ‘Saakshaym’ was a colossal dud, its openings were terrific. On the other hand, ‘Kavacham’ has failed to bring in openings.

Sumanth starrer ‘Subramanyapuram’ also underperformed at the box-office though it got fairly better reviews. On the other hand, Sundeep Kishan and Tamannah starrer ‘Next Enti’ attracted zero audiences at most places.

Youthful entertainer ‘Subhalekha+lu” did okay business.
