Senior actor and popular comedian Babu Mohan, a two-time MLA, was contesting from the Andhole constituency in Medak (old) district. He was sitting MLA. He lost the seat this time. He stood at third postion. The seat was won by journalist Kranthi Kiran.

Babu Mohan has acted in hundreds of movies. He is popular for comedy roles. Of late, he is not acting in movies. He began his career in TDP and served as minister in NTR's government. He won Andhole seat in 2014 on TRS ticket but he joined BJP party when the TRS denied him ticket.
