'96' the super hit Tamil romantic drama is all set to be remade in Telugu. The Telugu version of '96' features Sharwanand and Samantha as the lead pair and the film will hit the floors soon. An official announcement is expected shortly.

Tamil director C. Prem Kumar, who made this nostalgic romantic drama, will direct it in Telugu as well. Dil Raju is producing the movie.
Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha played the lead roles in the original Tamil movie. The soundtrack composed by Govind Vasantha won great appreciation. Hence the same songs are being retained in Telugu.
