Vijay Deverakonda’s maiden Tamil film last year turned out to be a dud. ‘NOTA’ which hit the screens amidst high expectations was a huge flop. Though he didn’t taste success, he gained good fan base in Tamilnadu. So, he wants to test his luck again.

According to the latest reports, Vijay Deverakonda has signed a new Tamil film that will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. The reports say the film will be directed by newcomer Anand Annamalai and it is going to be sports drama. The film is likely to be titled ‘Hero’.

Malavika Mohanan who appeared in Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’ and Bollywood movie ‘Beyond The Clouds’ may star opposite Vijay Deverakonda in this film. Official announcement is awaited.
