Mahesh Babu's 25th film 'Maharshi' is getting delayed further. The film has changed its release date for the third time. Producer Dil Raju today announced that 'Maharshi' will release on 9th May.

He met the media to announce the change in the release date.

"Shoot for the talkie portion will be completed this month. Two songs and couple of montage sequences will remain to be shot. The montages will be filmed in Abu Dhabi. The reason for the change in date is we don't want to compromise on the quality. Director Vamshi Paidipally has written best script in his career and he needs enough time to achieve what he has envisioned. Also by May 1st week, parliament election process will be completed. Considering all these factors, we have changed the release date," said Dil Raju.

April 5th was the original date. The date was pushed to April 25th when the production activities have got delayed. Now, the movie has been moved to 9th May, much against the wishes of Mahesh Babu's fans.

Mahesh's fans fear that the month of May never brought luck to the superstar. Some of his movies that were released in May became flops. However, Dil Raju quells such sentiment. "Our film is also co-produced by Ashwini Dutt whose biggest hit 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' was released on May 9. Many of our productions too came in the month of May and became hits," he said.

'Maharshi' is directed by Vamshi Paidipally. It stars Pooja Hegde as the heroine. Allari Naresh is playing a key role.
