It was reported that Pooja Hegde has charged Rs 2 Cr remuneration for just 15-days work for the crime drama ‘Valmiki’. It is an extended guest role in the film that stars Varun Tej as rowdy leader. The film, a remake of Tamil hit ‘Jigarthanda’, is being directed by Harish Shankar.

However, Harish Shankar clarifies that the media reports are not true. She didn’t demand such hefty remuneration, he stresses. Pooja Hegde is one of the busiest actresses in South India right now and is in much demand.

The ‘Gabbar Singh’ director also made it clear that he didn’t meet Pawan Kalyan recently for possible collaboration. Now that elections are over, people have started speculating that Pawan Kalyan might return to films. Media reports said Pawan recently met Harish Shankar to discuss a new project. But Harish has denied any such meet had happened.

Harish earlier directed Pooja Hegde in Allu Arjun starrer 'DJ Duvvada Jagannatham'. He also directed Pawan Kalyan in 'Gabbar Singh', which went on to become iconic blockbuster.
