Bellamkonda Srinivas starrer ‘Rakashasudu’ had a decent show at the box-office in its first weekend. Reviews and word-of-mouth have helped the film getting good numbers on Saturday and Sunday. The thriller took the very ordinary opening on its first day but it saw a huge jump on Sunday. 
 
The film collected about Rs 6 Cr share from Telugu states. A remake of a Tamil hit ‘Ratsasan’, the movie might end up as a decent hit for Bellamkonda Srinivas. Although some of his previous movies had earned a bigger amount in the first weekend compared to this movie, they were flops due to a high budget. Whereas, ‘Rakshasudu’ is made with a limited budget and sold for reasonable prices.
 
‘Rakshasudu’ directed by Ramesh Varma won good praises from the critics. This is the first film in Bellamkonda Srinivas’s career that got unanimously better ratings from the critics.
