“I didn’t know about Trivikram when ‘Manmadhudu’ was being made because all the dialogues and punchlines were narrated by director Vijay Bhaskar,” Nagarjuna said during the promotions of ‘Manmadhudu 2’. This has created a huge furore on social media. Trivikram’s fans and movie lovers were aghast to see Nagarjuna being so egoistic to admit the contribution of writer Trivikram.

It was Trivikram’s script and dialogues that brought a cult status to the 2002 Nagarjuna starrer ‘Manmadhudu’. He was rising star back then but today Trivikram is a top-wrung director. Trivikram has the last laugh now.

‘Manmadhudu 2’ is removed from all the theaters in just 10days. The movie is losing a staggering Rs 9.5 Cr loss on theatrical revenue. It was sold for modest Rs 20 Cr and the movie has collected a mere 10.5 Cr in its total run. Nagarjuna must have understood the brand Trivikram and the power of his writing.

Rahul Ravindran, the director of ‘Manmadhudu 2’, messed it up with bad writing and inclusion of double meaning dialogues.
