Poor Sharwanand! He has got another disappointment in a short span. After ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’, he is all set to score another flop with ‘Ranarangam’. The first-week collections prove that the gangster drama will be a loss venture for all parties concerned.
 
Directed by Sudheer Varma, ‘Ranarangam’ hit the screens last Thursday on the eve of Independence Day. The film took huge advantage of the hype around it and the holiday as it raked in about Rs 4 Cr on day one opening. It was a record opening for a Sharwanand movie. But unfortunately, the film crashed at the box-office after the first weekend
 
Proof: Complete lack of footfalls on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The film has collected about Rs 9 Cr in its first week. It was sold for Rs 17 Cr. It had a poor first week altogether.
 
‘Ranarangam’ starred Kalyani Priyadarshan and Kajal Aggarwal as the lead actresses. Prashanth Pillai scored the music.
