Varun Tej averts a clash with Nani

Tuesday, August 27, 2019 - 10:00

At last, the direct clash between Nani and Varun Tej has been avoided. In the last minute, better sense prevailed. Nani’s ‘Gang Leader’ and Varun Tej’s ‘Valmiki’ have been promoting aggressively. Both films were scheduled to release on September 13 but now Varun Tej’s gangster drama has pulled out from the competition and has shifted its date to September 20.

When ‘Saaho’ was to release on August 15, Nani’s ‘Gang Leader’ fixed its release date as August 30 and ‘Valmiki’ as September 6. But when the makers pushed the release date of ‘Saaho’ to August 30, Harish Shankar and his team were the first to announce that their film has been pushed to September 13 to maintain two weeks gap between ‘Saaho’ and their film. ‘Gang Leader’ took a lot of time in deciding its new release date and later announced September 13 as its new changed date.

Harish Shankar got miffed with Nani’s team. But Nani argued that their film should get priority date as they were to release on August 30. Nani and Harish Shankar wished each other on social media and claimed that their films are not clashing but providing festival mood to the Telugu audiences.

But now, ‘Valmiki’ has been pulled out. An official statement is awaited.
