Veteran actor Giri Babu, who used to do character roles in 80s and 90s, has made a sensational comment about Jr NTR and TDP.

As per him, the people of Andhra Pradesh want the young actor to join the party to save it from drowning. "If his entry doesn't happen, those currently in the TDP will be rejected by the people. Only NTR can save the party," he has been quoted saying.

Similar sentiments have been echoed by several political and non-political voices since the May drubbing of Chandrababu Naidu's party. Recently, Bharath Kumar, the younger son-in-law of Nandamuri Balakrishna, said that TDP doesn't need NTR. He refused to agree that TDP can be saved only by NTR's leadership. This has created furore.

However, NTR has been keeping mum on all these comments. He is currently shooting for Rajamouli's 'RRR'
