Rajinikanth is acting in ‘Darbar’, his first ever combination with director AR Murugadoss. The film’s shoot is nearing its completion. However, the portions that require the Rajinikanth’s presence have already been completed. Lyca production house tweeted, “Aanndd it's a wrap for our #Thalaivar in #DARBAR get ready for #DarbarPongal.""

‘Darbar’ has Nayanthara as the female lead. The superstar will be seen as a cop in the film. Set for Sankranthi 2020 release, the film has Mumbai as backdrop for its story.
