Gritty and intense violent dramas are in vogue. Telugu filmmakers are turning clocks back to present a realistic drama in interior lands of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. ‘Palasa 1978’ is one such. As the title says, the film is set in the backdrop of Palasa (in Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh). 

Directed by Karuna Kumar, the period drama has newcomers Rakshit and Naksthra as the lead pair. Tammareddy Bharadwaja is presenting the movie. Director Puri Jagannadh praised the teaser for its intensity.

The teaser has been cut with a folk song going in the background with sparse dialogue. The film is getting ready for release. Music is given by Raghu Kunche
