It is no secret that Lavanya Tripathi was the original choice for ‘Geetha Govindam’ but she turned down the offer. When asked about this, Lavanya said, “I loved the script but I could not take up the project for other reasons.” Lavanya Tripathi is in Hyderabad to promote her upcoming release ‘Arjun Suravaram’.

The film that was to release last year is finally hitting the screens 29th of this month. She played Nikhil Siddharth’s love interest in the film. Lavanya is not having many offers now. “It is not like that I am not getting anything. I am not getting what I wanted. I don’t believe in the rat race. I will sign films that I like,” she clarified.

When asked about the films that she rejected turning out to be hit, she replied that there are also films that bombed. Nagarjuna’s ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ was her last blockbuster.
