Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’ is all set to be released on Jan 09, 2020. The film’s first song ‘Dhummu Dhooli’ is out. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the energetic introduction song is crooned by legendary SP Balasubramaniam. Lyrics are written by Anantha Sriram. This is Anirudh’s second consecutive musical score for Rajinikanth’s film after ‘Petta’.

“Nenera Ika Meedunna Chota Darbar-u, Oori Oori Petaki Nene Raa Lord-u.” (The place where I stand is the power of the seat, I am the lord of every locality.) This sums up the characterization of Rajinikanth in the film. He is playing the role of a police officer in Mumbai.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, the movie has Nayanthara as his female interest and Nivetha Thomas as his daughter. Lyca Productions is producing the film. The teaser will come out on Rajinikanth’s birthday (December 12).
