Actress Namitha joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of working president JP Nadda in Chennai on Saturday. Namitha who has been struggling to make comeback into films is now looking at a political career. She earlier was the state’s ruling party AIADMK. With Tamilnadu assembly elections are nearing BJP is wooing actors into their party.

Namitha last appeared in a Telugu film a decade ago in Balakrishna’s ‘Simha’. She has acted in many Telugu films that include ‘Sontham’, ‘Gemini’, ‘Oka Raju Oka Rani’, and ‘Billa’. 

Of late, she has been updating her Instagram timeline with sultry pictures of her. She is trying to bag offers again. She married a Telugu guy two years ago. She is now settled in Chennai.
