Karthi has scored a huge hit with ‘Khaidi’ in Telugu states. The film won critical acclaim and it also enjoyed a great theatrical run. Given this fact, his new release should have created a lot of frenzy but somehow it is lacking the hype around ‘Donga’, Karthi’s new movie. 

The film starring Karthi and his vadina Jyothika is hitting the screens this Friday. The trailer is quite interesting. Directed by Jeethu Joseph of ‘Drushyam’ fame, the trailer looked quite interesting and Karthi recently came down to Hyderabad to promote it. However, the movie is lagging in hyper compared to the promotional activity of straight Telugu movies ‘Ruler’ and ‘Prati Roju Pandage’.

However, Karthi’s team is confident that things will change once the film gets good reviews. ‘Khaidi’ too gained from good ratings from critics and strong word-of-mouth.
