Who is the number one director in Tollywood? Without a doubt, it is SS Rajamouli. The maverick filmmaker is miles ahead of his nearest competitor. Rajamouli takes home huge remuneration. Rough estimate is that he will get upwards Rs 60 crore per a movie. Strangely, his name never gets featured in the top-earning celebrities list prepared by Forbes India magazine. 

This year, the magazine published a list of Top Indian celebrities that also feature South Indian directors like Shankar and Karthik Subbaraju but there is no name of Rajamouli. 

The only consolation is that it gave prominence to director Trivikram who stood at 77th place with Rs 21.5 crore earnings. 

Perhaps, Rajamouli’s name is omitted as he has not released any film in the last two years.
