Padma Shri honor for Kangana Ranaut

Actress Kangana Ranaut is to be honored with Padma Shri. Along with Bollywood celebrities Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Adnan Sami, Kangana will receive the Padma Shri award. On the eve of Republic Day 2020, Padma Shri awards were announced. Telugu film industry has not received any Padma awards this year. 

Kangana Ranaut has acted in many Bollywood hits and won National awards for her performances. She debuted in Tollywood in Puri Jagannadh directed ‘Ek Niranjan’.

Kangana thanked all in a statement. She says, "I’m humbled and I’m honored. I thank my country for this recognition and I dedicate this to every woman who dares to dream. To every daughter... to every mother... and to the dreams of women who will shape the future of our country."
