Mahesh Babu loses nothing, gains everything

Despite being a huge superstar, Mahesh Babu time and again has proved that he has no qualms in sharing screen space with senior stars. Indeed, it was Mahesh Babu who spurred the trend of multi-starrers in Tollywood in this generation by acting with senior star Venkatesh in ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, which turned out to be a blockbuster. 

Taking a step further, he has now come forward to play a lengthy guest role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ being directed by Koratala Siva when the director came up with the proposal. After listening to the script and the characterization of the role that was offered, Mahesh Babu has given his nod to act with the megastar Chiranjeevi. On Mahesh Babu’s part, he is pretty clear that he has given his agreement and decision should be taken by them. 

Now, the ball is in Megastar’s court to decide whether to rope in Mahesh Babu or not for the guest role, a source tells us. 

If Chiranjeevi goes with the Koratala’s vision, the film will become baap of all multi-starrers. Mahesh’s fans would also rally behind this movie. It is a huge advantage for the producers on the trade front as both mega fans and Mahesh fans will take the film to the next level. 

Even if this doesn’t materialize, the superstar will not lose anything. Mahesh Babu will move on to his other projects and he will gain a lot as his image of a star with no ego issues gets strengthened further. The word that Mahesh Babu showed magnanimous heart to play a guest role in another star’s movie has already become viral. So, it is a win-win situation for Mahesh Babu.
