Chennai Municipal Corporation pasted a sticker in front of Kamal Haasan's house saying that the house dwellers are in quarantine. This led to rumors that Kamal Haasan tested positive for coronavirus. Reacting to rumors, Kamal Haasan denied the news in a statement.

A small confusion on part of Chennai corporation employees led to this fiasco.

Actress Gautami recently had returned from Dubai. Chennai corporation has been posting stickers with the message - “We are in Home Quarantine to safeguard ourselves” to the residences who had returned from foreign destinations. Since Gautami’s passport has Kamal Haasan’ s house address, the corporation staff pasted. 

The fact is that Gautami broke up with Kamal Haasan long back and has been staying separately. The sticker has now been removed at Kamal Haasan’s residence. Kamal Haasan is now living in another house and he has been self-isolation.
