Lakshmi Rai doing an item number in Chiranjeevi's 150th film 'Khaidi No 150' is old news. The shoot of the song is progressing in Hyderabad. The latest update is that she has benefited heavily with this deal. Buzz is that the actress was paid a whopping Rs 40 Lakh as remuneration for this song. This is Rs 15 lakh more than what she was paid in Pawan Kalyan starrer 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh'.

Lakshmi Rai was not the original choice for this item number. Catherine Tresa was to shake her leg with Chiru. But due to some disagreement with Chiru's daughter Sushmitha the actress was ousted and Lakshmi was brought in as a replacement. Since she was the need of the hour, she demanded more and producer Ram Charan relented.
