Mahesh Babu lends support for Jallikattu movement

Another Tollywood star has come oout in open and tweeted about the popular Jallikattu movement of Tamilnadu. Mahesh Babu openly declared his support for the cause and even admired all those who are peacefully fighting for it. 

The actor tweeted, "#Jallikattu is the spirit of Tamil Nadu - bold and fearless. Proud to see such a statement of unity among Tamilians for something that they truly believe in. Especially admire the way the students of Tamil Nadu have been standing up for the cause, relentlessly fighting for their roots and culture. Hope their voices are heard. I support the spirit of Tamil Nadu. #JusticeforJallikattu"

He hoped that all that is happening in Tamil Nadu becomes successful and the voice of the ones who are fighting is heard. 

The Jallikattu movement, a protest by thousands of people majority of them students at Chennai's famous Marina Beach has entered its third day. The protesters demand that Jallikattu be brought back to Tamil Nadu. Jallikattu is a traditional festival sport that sees young men wrestling with bulls during Pongal season. But Supreme Court of India banned has put a ban on this festival game. The protesters want it to be revoked.
