Sex comedy: Boon or bane for Avasarala?

The Teaser of 'Babu Baga Busy' (BBB), which has been watched by more than 4 million people so far, is no doubt good news for its makers. But the question is, what is it going to do to Avasarala Srinivas's image?

Avasarala has an image for being an actor of certain sensibilities and a director with a difference. Even when he played a villain in 'Gentleman', he was not a regular antagonist who spoke crass language. But 'BBB' is a different film. It's an adult comedy with lots of bold stuff. If you see the trailer, Avasarala is playing a character who is sex addict. And his score is 100! He commits adultery with a married woman. As he says, his 'day starts with D'!  

Generally speaking, Telugu audience look down upon actors/actresses who do adult-oriented movies. That's why, star heroines avoided even item songs for many years. Recently, Sumanth did 'Naruda DONORuda', whose first half is full of adult comedy elements. The film did no good to him.

It has to be seen whether 'BBB' will boost Avasarala Srinivas's image or spoil it. As an actor, he said OK to the role because it has emotional content as per him. If the audience too feel it, it will be good for him!
