Rakul Preet Singh has an image of glamour girl. She has not proved her mettle as "actress" yet. Apart from 'Dhruva', she has appeared mostly in roles that have hardly anything to do except dancing in songs and doing customary romantic scenes. She feels that she has now got an author-backed role in 'Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam' that is directed by Kalyan Krishna. She has played the role of Bramarambha, a young college student who has independent mind.

Though the film is romantic drama set in a large family set up, she says she has finally got a role that is very challenging. She hopes that people would start taking her acting skills seriously now. 

Naga Chaitanya is the hero of the movie. Produced by Nagarjuna on Annapurna Studios banner, 'Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam' is gearing up for release on 26th May. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music. This year Rakul tasted a flop with 'Winner' but she has good line up of releases including Mahesh Babu's 'Spyder' and Boyapati's untitled movie.
