Sai Dharam Tej starrer 'Jawaan' has locked its release date as 1st September. NTR's "Jai Lava Kusa' was to release on that day but it has now been moved to 21st September. So Sai Dharam Tej is releasing his 'Jawaan' on 1st September.

Being directed by BVS Ravi, the movie has Mehreen Kaur as heroine. The makers say it is new-age drama.

"Our intention is to tell that, like how important a Jawaan is to our country, every family needs a person like our hero. That's why we put the caption - Intikokkadu.. It is a complete and commercial family entertainer with right blend of emotions," director BVS Ravi said.

The film is being produced by Krishna.
