"I am no longer a golden girl."

Samantha gets very candid on everything.

Samantha is the undisputed Numero Uno actress in Telugu film world. She is also known as Golden Girl of Tollywood as her success rate in the industry is enviable. But Samantha says she is no longer a golden girl. For she had some flops last year.

Post the release of her new movie, S/o Satyamurthy, we caught up with her for small chat. Excerpts..

Are you happy with the response for the movie?

Oh, yeah. It was the first time that I played as a I girl suffering from diabetes. A very normal girl role which I enjoyed playing it. The response is tremendous. People are calling me again that I am golden girl. Although it gives me high, fact is I am no longer 'golden girl' of Tollywood.

Why do you think so? You have great success rate.

In the recent months, I had also seen flops and setbacks too. I need to improve my success rate.

How was it working with Allu Arjun?

First thing I did when I signed up for the film was to ask my stylists to bring best costumes. I didn't want to look awkward in front of a stylish star like Allu Arjun. On the sets, I have learned that he is most hard-working actor that I have come across.

Who is your favorite director?

Trivikram. He is genius. There is something magical in his words and the scenes he creates. Apart from Trivikram, my guru Gowtham Menon, I like very much as director.

From Anushka to Charmee, almost all heroines are doing heroine-oriented roles. When are you going to do such movie?

I have plans for this. But it will take some more time, I guess.

In most of the movies you did so far, we haven't seen you in strong roles.

To answer my critics, I am doing a Tamil film with Vikram in which you will see me in a very challenging role. You will see a new angle of my performance. For the first time, I am also doing action stunts too.

Reports say you are dating a Chennai based businessman!

(Laughs) No ishq vishq for some time. I am not seeing anyone now. I will concentrate on career from now onwards.

You pen all your thoughts without fear on twitter. Many a time, you landed in controversies due to your tweets. Will you now be slowing down?

I will not hesitate in voicing my opinions. I will always be frank in my expressions. Twitter is one platform that I chose to be open and share my thoughts with my fans.

What are your new projects in Tollywood?

As you know, I won't reveal about my projects until they go on to the sets. That is my sentiment.
