Trivikram is real hero of A Aa, says Nithin

Days ahead of the release of 'A Aa', Nithiin is on a high.  He is confident that the film is different. Also, he has found another Teja and Rajamouli in Trivikram.

How do you describe your film?

'A Aa' is a proper love story. The way the love story is interspersed with family element has come out so well. So, besides a love story, there is comedy and family emotions.

In a long time, you are playing a villager's role. Isn't it?

I am playing a chef's character in the movie. I am seen in the role of a responsible son and a brother who loves his sister. Even though he is in trouble, he wears a smile on his face and also makes others smile.

How did this film happen to  you?

I think I have got to do this film at the right moment. After 'Gundejaari Gallanthayyinde', I got a call while in Spain shooting for 'Heart Attack'. I felt very happy. However, the project got shelved suddenly. When it was revived a year later, I got hopeful again.

During the audio launch, you said that Trivikram is like a walking Encyclopedia et al. How was it working with him?

Working with Trivikram Srinivas garu has been a dream-come-true. When I got a call from him, I was very excited. If he is one reason for me doing the film, the other reason is the story. We used to discuss the story every day. The story is quite different from that of the 22 movies I have done. A reason I am saying this is different is because, in the past, I have played naughty guy roles, but here I am a responsible family man. The film is completely director's film. Trivikram garu is the real hero of 'A Aa'.

Looks like Trivikram is a special director for you!

He is special like Teja garu and Rajamouli garu for me. He took care of everything right from my body language, diction to hair-do.

You were saying that 'A Aa' is different from the other movies you have done. What about your learning curve?

In the last 14 years, I have learnt many things. Most importantly, I have learnt what kind of films to do and what kind of films ought not to be done.

It must have been a great moment for you when Pawan Kalyan visited the sets of 'A Aa'...

Yes. I was not informed about his visit. When I saw him unprepared, I didn't know what was going on for some time. We were shooting a song and dancing in front of him made me feel tensed.

Your best friend and co-star Samantha has been in the news regarding tying the knot.

She doesn't discuss such things with me.

Samantha might not have told you the name of the young hero whom she is going to marry. But you must be knowing his name.

You (journalists) all know who that hero is. (Smiles).

When are you going to lose your single status?

My family members have been asking me to get married for the last two years. I have been postponing the date to the next year.

There have been reports that 'Gundejaari Gallanthayyinde' will have a sequel.

Story discussions are going on. I will do it only if the second half too comes out well. If everything goes as planned, we will produce the film on our home banner.
