I am not joining in BJP, says Chiranjeevi

Megastar Chiranjeevi who is readying up to start his 150th film has landed in a political controversy. From the last few days, there were speculations in media that he would be joining Bharatiya Janata Party. There were reports that he has dropped off his plans of launching his 150th movie so that he could focus on his political career in BJP.

Chiranjeevi is currently Congress MP in Rajya Sabha. Reacting to these reports, Chiranjeevi today met the media and denied the reports as baseless. “I will remain in Congress party,” he asserted. It was widely reported in the media that BJP is planning to project him as Kapu CM candidate in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections in 2019. But Chiranjeevi said that not iota of truth lies in these speculations.

He also asserted that his 150th movie will be taking off as per the original plan. He said that he would reveal exact date for the movie launch shortly. Chiranjeevi is planning to make comeback to movies as hero with the remake of ‘Katthi’ in the direction of V V Vinayak and the movie will be produced by Ram Charan and Lyca Productions.
