HC grants SIT permission to question Charmee

High Court today in its ruling allowed Special Investigation Team to question actress Charmee in on-going drugs case but stipulated timings. Court asked the SIT to question her during daytime from 10 am to 5 pm in the presence of lady officers. If SIT needs extra time for questioning, it can call her on another day as well.
High Court gave this judgement when she sought the court intervention to stop SIT questioning her. Charmee's lawyer Vishnu Vardhan Reddy argued that she is unmarried girl and she should be exempted from questioning, as it would spoil the prospects of her marriage. But Court didn't take this argument into consideration.
High Court agreed to Charmee's appeal that SIT should not take blood or hair samples without her consent. But SIT has been saying the same that they are not taking samples when they refuse to provide as they didn't take the samples from Navadeep the other day when he refused to oblige.
Court in its ruling also gave clear instructions to SIT to record all audio and video of questioning. Charmee also requested court to allow her advocate to be present during the enquiry but it said no. So, her lawyer will not be allowed to SIT office. By moving to High Court, Charmee has not gained much.
