iSmart Shankar re-releasing this weekend

‘iSmart Shankar’ starring Ram, Nidhii Agerwal and Nabha Natesh went on to become one of the biggest hits this year. The film resurrected the career of the director of Puri Jagannadh. It is also the number one hit in Ram’s career.

The film was released on July 18 and had completed its theatrical run long back. However, with no big movies in the theaters now and many single screens are looking for the mass movies, Puri has decided to re-release the movie in theaters to cash in on the vacuum. In the olden days, it was common practice for films getting re-releases but today no film is running beyond 5 weeks in the theaters. In this backdrop, it is a surprise to see iSmart Shankar returning to the theaters.

The film will be screened on 27th, 28th and 29th September in select theaters. 52-year-old Puri Jagannadh turns a year old 28th September. On this occasion, the film is getting a re-release.
