Jallikattu row, Trisha stops tweeting!

Monday, January 16, 2017 - 16:30

Trisha tweeted on Saturday about Jallikattu. Her tweet read, “I’m a Tamilian and I support @peta @petaindia cruelty to animals no matter how old the traditions are is no justification. #BanJallikattu.” The actress was quick enough to say that her account was hacked and she further tweeted,  “I have never spoken against Jallikattu at any given point.”

That very day she faced the ire of animal lovers, when a angry mob protested against her. For now the actress has deactivated her Twitter handle and will be back till she decides about this matter. Several Tamil stars have spoken against the ban of Jallikattu.  Jallikattu is a bull taming sport practiced during the Tamil festival of Pongal. There is talk that Trisha may face problems when her films are released in Tamilnadu.
