Mahanati's regular shoot commences

Regular shoot of 'Mahanati', a biopic on the life of great actress Savitri', has begun today (May 29). Being directed by Naga Ashwin of 'Evade Subramanyam' fame, the movie is produced by Ashwini Dutt and his daughter Priyanka.

Keerthy Suresh is essaying the role of Savitri. Keerthy who acted in films like 'Nenu Sailaja' and "Nenu Local' is said to be getting huge remuneration for this. The biopic also stars Samantha, Vijay Devarakonda and Dulquer Salman in the key roles. Samantha will be seen in the role of a journalist. The movie's story runs on two different time periods - current times and 1950's. 

It is simultaneously being made in Telugu and Tamil languages.
