That the remake rights of Malayalam blockbuster ‘Lucifer’ have been snapped up by Ram Charan is old news. Charan bought the rights to remake it with his father Chiranjeevi. The political thriller had a gripping screenplay. At one time, Sukumar showed interest to remake it in his direction but he backed it off after Allu Arjun had allotted dates for his current film. Then Ram Charan approached two other big directors but they have turned down it as they are busy with their respective commitments.

So, finally, Parasuram is being considered for this project. But this has not yet officially been finalized. He is a top contender for this remake, at the present. The ‘Geetha Govindam’ director is all set to commence Naga Chaitanya’s movie titled ‘Nageswara Rao’. After the release of Chaitanya’s movie, Chiranjeevi may take the final call. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is busy shooting for Siva Koratala’s social drama.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has decided to release two movies every year and is lining up several projects.
