Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Petta' has suddenly dragged itself for its release amidst some big Telugu releases this Sankranthi. The makers have now decided that the pre-release event will be done in JRC convention in Hyderabad on the 6th of this month.

Rajini himself will make his presence felt at the event along with his key team. The trailer has created a decent effect and the film which is directed by Karthik Subbaraj will showcase Rajini in an entertaining fashion after a very long time.

It will release on the 10th of this month. 'Petta' pronounced as 'Peta' in Telugu stars Simran and Trisha as the female lead. The movie also has Megha Akash of 'Chal Mohan Ranga' fame in a small role.

Anirudh has composed the music.Ashok Vallabhaneni is producing the film.
