Post BB2, producers quote big price for rights

'Baahubali 2' is still raking in some good money even after 25 days of its release. It is likely to touch Rs 200 Cr share in AP and Telangana by end of its total run (it is expected to have decent run till the schools open in Mid June).
The movie has collected almost thrice the market range of a big movie in Telugu states. Take for example, earlier big star movies used to collect Rs 20 to Rs 26 Cr in Nizam area but 'Baahubali 2' has collected a share of Rs 64 + Cr. Same applies in every territory of Andhra Pradesh (Andhra and Ceded). So, 'Baahubali 2' has opened up the market.
Mahesh Babu's 'Pokiri' has helped the Tollywood industry. Movies released after 'Pokiri' have started aiming for Rs 40 cr. Soon it has become industry norm to declare a movie as blockbuster only if it collects Rs 40 Cr. Then 'Magadheera' further helped the industry. 'Attaraintki Daaredi', 'Srimanthudu', and 'Baahubali' each film took Tollywood to another level in terms of business. Now, post 'Baahubali 2' producers are of the opinion that the next big releases would gain immensely. Rs 100 Cr has now become a yardstick to declare it as a huge blockbuster. Hence the producers are selling off the rights of their movies starring big heroes for huge amounts in all territories in Telugu states.
The forthcoming biggies that are in demand as per as business is concerned are Allu Arjun's 'Duvvada Jagannadham', NTR's 'Jai Lava Kusa', Pawan Kalyan - Trivikram's film, Mahesh Babu's 'Spyder' and Ram Charan - Sukumar's movie. These movies are scheduled for release in the coming season.
