Japan is one of the few countries that have lifted restrictions on movie theaters. Japan has successfully restricted the COVID19 outbreak and has allowed theaters to screen movies.

Among non-Japanese movies, Prabhas’s ‘Saaho’ got the patronage from the audiences there. The Telugu film was dubbed into the Japanese language opened in a large number of screens. Surprisingly, the Prabhas starrer set a record as it has now become the fifth highest-grossing Indian movie in Japan.

It also broke the record set by Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ to emerge as the highest opener for an Indian film in Japan.

Prabhas gained huge popularity in Japan with ‘Baahubali’ movies. After Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan, Prabhas is the third Indian movie star who has a tremendous craze in this Asian superpower.

‘Saaho’ was directed by Sujith. The action-thriller starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor tanked in Telugu states but it was a huge hit in North India. And now, it also became a hit in Japan.
