Sagar Chandra to direct Ram!

Sagar Chandra, the young director who shot to fame with ‘Appatlo Okadundevadu’, has now got green signal from Ram Pothineni. Sagar Chandra was to launch a period drama set in the backdrop of rural Telangana with Varun Tej. Even Varun Tej was too excited doing this film but it was put off as the movie requires more than Rs 30 Cr budget, which is a bit too high for a Varun Tej starrer. So, after considering all options, 14 Reels production house has dropped off the project.

Now Sagar Chandra approached Ram with another story and got nod from him. The movie will be produced by Sravanthi Movies. This film is expected to hit the floors from June this year.

Ram is currently acting under Puri Jagannadh’s direction for ‘iSmart Shankar’.
