Samantha is doing it for free

It's known that Samantha Akkineni is a proud brand ambassador of TSCO Handloom.  She joined hands with the Telangana Government in promoting the cause of handlooms.

Last year, when she became the ambassador, the star actress even sounded sympathetic towards the distressed weavers on her Twitter timeline.

However, there has been this gossip that the actress has actually not done it for a fee. Since stars charge a lot for such assignments, it has been presumed that she must have been paid a lot for it.  Minister KTR has on Tuesday put the record straight. "She is not charging a single paisa for what she is doing in her capacity as brand ambassador," KTR informed the Telangana Legislative Council.

With this, all unfounded rumours about her fee have been put to rest.
