Singer Sona says Kailash Kher sexually abused her

Popular singer Kailash Kher (who has rendered such hits as 'Pandagala Vacchadu' in Mirchi, 'Vachadayyo Sami' in 'Bharat Ane Nenu' and 'Yeda Poyinado' in 'Aravindha Sametha) is in trouble. A couple of days after a photo-journalist accused him of sexual misconduct, singer Sona Mohapatra has narrated an incident where Kher sexually abused her openly.
She says that she met Kailash for coffee at a cafe in Mumbai to discuss a concert. This is when the man placed his hand on her thigh, saying lines like 'you are so beautiful'.
"I left the place immediately. That did not deter Kailash Kher though. On landing in Dhaka and on my way to the venue with the organisers, keeps calling me and when I don’t pick up, calls the organisers phone to get through to me and asks me to ‘skip’ the sound check and join him in his room instead to ‘catch up’," she writes.
"The fact that Kailash had sung in my studios and for many projects in which I was the producer and knew me to be as strong as I am or that he had only recently taken a favour from my partner to create a personal track for him didn’t stop him. The hubris of such men," she concludes.
