The ashes of late actress Sridevi were immersed today in the sea off Rameswaram. The ashes brought by her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters in a special aircraft were immersed in the sea there after performing traditional ritual by poojari.
Sridevi died on February 24 in a Dubai hotel due to accidental drowning in a bathtub in the hotel. Her daughters Jahnvi Kapoor and Kushi Kapoor performed the last rites along with her father. Hence they came to immerse the ashes in Rameswaram as per Hindu tradition.
Sridevi was born in Tamilnadu. She has acted in about 300 movies in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.
