Nandamuri Suhasini, daughter of actor Late Nandamuri Harikrishna, who contested on TDP ticket from Kukatpall constituency lost the poll in her debut electoral battle. Madhavaram Krishna Rao of TRS won the seat with huge margin. Nandamuri Suhasini secured 70563 votes. On the other hand, TRS’s Madhavaram Krishna Rao won hands down with total votes of 111612.

Before her name was announced as TDP candidate from this constituency, she was not known to the general public. Nandamuri Balakrishna canvassed for her in the constituency but her brothers NTR Jr and Kalyan Ram didn’t campaign for her.
