Mr.Majnu posts poor numbers in first weekend

Akhil Akkineni’s latest (and his third) film 'Mr.Majnu' is struggling at the box office. The film written and directed by Venky Atluri of ‘Tholi Prema’ fame is a romantic drama. The movie that hit the screens last weekend witnessed a dull opening day at the box office and continued its dismal run in its first weekend. By end of first weekend, the film posted Rs 7.28 Cr in AP and Telangana. Trade expected that the movie would see jump on Sunday but the collections on Sunday remained pretty poor.
In Nizam area, the film has not even crossed Rs 1 Cr mark on crucial Sunday thus making the film’s overall numbers look very poor. The love story has managed to collect a total of Rs 9 crore in three days at the box office worldwide.
The love story set in London and Hyderabad with Nidhi Agerwal playing female lead also didn't manage to impress the critics.
