Samantha has denied reports that she told director C Prem Kumar to change the script of ‘96’ that he is going to direct it in Telugu with Sharwanand and Samantha. It was reported that she asked him to alter the story to suit her image and increase space for her.

The Tamil romantic blockbuster is being remade in Telugu and it will go to the sets in April with Dil Raju producing it. The Tamil movie featured Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha as the lead pair and Sharwanand and Samantha are reprising their roles here. “I just recently met the director formally. I didn’t tell him anything except listening to his ideas,” she said trashing the rumors.

The film will have music by the original composer of the Tamil movie Govind Vasantha.
