Samantha Akkineni’s upcoming release ‘Oh Baby’ is making right buzz thanks to its largely fun and humorous publicity material. ‘Oh Baby’ is official remake of Korean drama ‘Miss Granny’ which had already been remade in seven other languages. Who came up with the idea of remaking this Korean drama?
 
According to director Nandini Reddy, it was Samantha who sent the DVD of ‘Miss Granny’ to her and asked her whether we could remake. Samantha said she was excited with the character of Baby. “My gut feeling is that if I don’t sleep for days in anticipation of doing a particular character, it would become a special role. I felt the same towards Oh Baby’s role,” Samantha said in an interview.
 
Samantha has played the role of a 70-year-old woman miraculously getting 20’s body. Lakshmi is 70-year-old woman and Samantha did the role of Lakshmi’s younger self. Samantha said she practiced hard to get the body language of Lakshmi.
 
Meanwhile, Samantha is also excited to step into the shoes of Trisha in the Telugu remake of ‘96’. Samantha is doing two remakes back-to-back.
