Lucky (Manchu Vishnu) hails from Chittoor. Although his name bears luck, he hardly has luck on his hand. His father scolds him for spoiling many good situations. He lands in Hyderabad to do something and meets a friend (Satyam Rajesh) who is working in software company as HR guy. After Lucky joins his room, his friend loses job. He also falls in love with positive Padma (Hansika) but soon the love affair turns bad due to his bad luck. As he tries to commit suicide, a thief enters into his room and later a guy comes to his room and hands him a bag of full of Crores of rupees. The guy who handed him the money is dead in an accident next day. What happens next is the story.

Analysis:
'Luckunnodu' starts off interesting way promising a good comedy. Few minutes into the movie, the interest starts wearing off. The movie is set up with hero trying to commit suicide and a thief coming to steal from his home. Now the hero starts narrating what led him to think of committing suicide. Though the scenes are not exciting, this episode is not bad either. But as the movie proceeds to the interval, it completely turns into a dull affair. Post interval, the screenplay is even bland than the first half.

Story is flimsy but these kind of crime-comedies work more on screenplay and better comedy. But the director has failed on both fronts. The comedy is so cliched. Entire second half is like an excuse for maintaining some run time before wrapping it up with the climax. Such is the dull way with no proper logic that the movie is told post interval.

The villain in the movie is like a clown. His characterization lacks seriousness for a don.

Vishnu in the role of a youngster is decent. He has tried to lift off the dull moments. Few comedy scenes by Prabhas Seenu are okay. Why Hansika falls for Vishnu we can't comprehend. Her appearance and acting also lacks fizz.  MVV Satyanarayana, the movie's producer has played the villain's role and he has not suited for it.

Music is also dull. Technical values of the movie are average. Raaj Kiran's direction is pretty plain. Dialogues by Diamond Rathna Babu are not funny.

Bottom-line: 'Luckunnodu' is bland to the core. Except the bearable first half, the movie doesn't have any entertaining moments.
