Raagala 24 Gantallo' is out in the theatres. Does the film work or not? Let's find out.

Story:

The film starts as a narration to three criminals who have just escaped from jail.

Rahul (Satyadev), an ad filmmaker, accidentally bumps into Vidya (Eesha Rebba) and decides to marry her. He woos her and successfully weds her. While he is good for the outside world, Rahul is a harasser at home. Vidya is shot nude and her uterus is removed by her husband without her consent and he suspects that she had an affair with Ganesh (Ganesh Venkatraman), her college friend.

All of a sudden, Rahul gets murdered. Who killed Rahul? Is Vidya guilty? Is Ganesh guilty?  Or is someone else the culprit? Answers to these questions are found in the climax.

Analysis:

Some films offer nothing new. But they mislead the audience into believing that they are watching a brand new story. This film proves once again that our filmmakers are never short of cunning ways to mislead the audience.

Writer-director Sreenivass Redde knew that the story is outdated. So, he used some tactics to keep the audience from walking out of the theatre. He turned the story into a murder mystery. The way it's narrated, it seems all 1980s-era movies where Mohan Babus and such actors used to play such roles.

Eesha Rebba's character is not properly developed. Why she narrates her ordeal to three strangers is not reasonable. Krishna Bhagawan's character adds to the film's creepiness factor, not entertainment.

Musskan Sethi plays a model and her bonding with three men is so miraculous that it is unbelievable. The climax turns out to be just average, without nothing engrossing about it. The performances are average but both Eesha and Satyadev stand out. Raghu Kunche's score is routine. Anji's cinematography is middling.

Bottomline: 'Raagala 24 Gantallo' is an unintelligent murder mystery. The screenplay is not detailed.
